Day by day, with the proliferation of technologies and the unstoppable advance of telecommunications, the number of electrohypersensitive people has also grown. But what is being done to help these people? We tell you about our approach.

As we have discussed in previous articles, electrohypersensitivity is part of the new conditions that have arisen in developed societies. It is a recurring discomfort caused by exposure to electromagnetic fields. Being electrohypersensitive implies having a set of symptoms that are activated or intensified when you are near electrical appliances, electric stations, mobile phone antennas, or other sources of radiation. However, the affected person does not appear to have any problems as long as they are not exposed to electric fields.

Now, what is the approach of governments and public organizations regarding EHS? Considering that many people and organizations still do not believe in the existence of this condition or simply do not give the necessary importance to it, there are not many approaches that can be discussed. However, today we want to tell you about the Swedish approach and our approach.

The Swedish approach

In Sweden, electrohypersensitivity is recognized as a functional disability, which implies that only the environment is to blame. The Swedish vision gives people with this disability maximum legal protection, entitles them to obtain accessibility measures free of charge, as well as government subsidies and municipal financial support, provide them with special Ombudsmen (in the municipality, the EU, and at the UN level, respectively), the right and financial means to form disability organizations and allow them to be part of national and international counterparts, all with the simple and sole objective of allowing people with functional disabilities like electrohypersensitivity live a normal life in a society based on equality.

However, it is very important to note that these people are not seen as patients and do not have a medical diagnosis, but rather the patient is the environment that surrounds them and is potentially toxic. This does not mean that a symptom of a functional disabled person cannot be treated by a doctor, as well as obtain sick leave from his workplace, financial compensation, and as early as 2000, such symptoms were identified in the Internal Code of Diagnostics version 10 (ICD-10; R68.8 / now W90), and have been ever since. But the underlying cause is still only the environment.

What is a functional disability?

Functional disability is defined as difficulties that substantially interfere or limit the functioning of a person in one or more important activities of their life, such as, for example, their basic abilities to eat, shower, dress; instrumental skills like housekeeping, managing finances, taking medications; or its normal functioning in social contexts.

In terms of health, any loss or abnormality in physiological, mental, or anatomical functions, whether permanent or temporary, is considered a functional impairment. The existence of a medical condition does not necessarily restrict functional capacity, but it may be part of the underlying cause of its deterioration. Obstacles in the environment around us that result in everyday functional disabilities are much more common.

Human beings, and children in particular, often encounter situations in which the environment presents obstacles and difficulties, such as language barriers, educational impediments, physical, chemical, or physiological blocks, or comprehension problems. None of these causes makes anyone a patient; we all remain normal and healthy people, as well as citizens, and with correct avoidance or adaptation reactions to a specific environment.

Dr. Olle Johansson’s approach

Dr. Olle Johansson is considered a world figure in the field of radiation by electromagnetic fields (EMF) and its effects on health. He was Associate Professor at the Karolinska Institute, Department of Neuroscience, and Head of the Experimental Dermatology Unit, as well as Visiting and Adjunct Professor of Basic and Clinical Neuroscience at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He has published more than 600 original articles, reviews, book chapters, and conference reports in the fields of basic and applied neuroscience, dermatology, epidemiology, and biophysiology.

Various surveys showed that between 230,000 and 290,000 Swedish men and women (out of a population of 10,000,000) report a variety of symptoms when they come into contact with sources of electromagnetic fields. In 2000, the Swedish government officially recognized the diagnosis of electrohypersensitivity (EHS) as a disability (not a disease) that can interfere with daily functioning and qualifies for both medical care and the provision of a free work environment. of electrosmog. Generally, doctors have nothing to do with this and it is something that only concerns the organizations and public officials that deal with functional disabilities today.

“And as you have noticed I am functional impaired. I cannot speak Spanish and this is the United Nations definition meaning that every person in his or her life many times will be functional impaired… In Sweden, people with electrohypersensitivity have their handicap organization which is called the Swedish Association for Electrohypersensitivity. They are also included in the very big Swedish disability Federation and a lot of law texts apply to them. In Sweden, the municipalities follow what is called the United Nations 22 Standard Rules on the equalization of opportunities for people with disabilities, and since 2007 it has to be upgraded into the United Nations Convention on Human Rights for Persons with Functional Impairments.”*

According to the approach of Dr. Johansson, all people with a functional disability such as electrohypersensitivity have the right to have a normal life in a society based on equality. This is also based on what the United Nations have written, stating that one of the most important principles to achieve is that of full accessibility. Therefore, people with different disabilities should have access to everything, regardless of the type of disability they have.

“In Sweden impairments are viewed from the point of the environment. That means that no human being is in itself impaired there are instead shortcomings in the environment that cause the impairment that’s, it is the environment that should be treated, not the people, and the people are completely normal and healthy but they react to inferior environments.”*

This approach has many implications, for example, forcing a person to quit their job or move out of their home is a very serious legal violation. The same happens with children since it is not allowed to discriminate against their educational rights. So, in essence, with a functional impairment like electrohypersensitivity, people should simply enjoy their Human Rights… nothing more and nothing less.

¿Qué son problemas de sueño?

Los problemas del sueño son afecciones que alteran los patrones normales de sueño. Estas afecciones están relacionadas con un nivel reducido de melatonina. Existen más de 80 diferentes trastornos del sueño, entre los que destacan el insomnio, la apnea del sueño, el síndrome de las piernas inquietas, hipersomnia, trastornos del ritmo circadiano y la parasomnia.

Dormir lo suficiente cada noche es totalmente necesario para poder mantener un estilo de vida saludable y garantizar un funcionamiento normal del sistema endocrino e inmunológico. Por lo general, las personas que sufren de trastornos de suelo se sienten cansadas durante el día, son irritables y, por la falta de descanso, suelen desarrollar otras patologías más graves y evidentes a largo plazo. 

Electrohipersensibilidad y problemas de sueño

Uno de los síntomas más resaltantes del EHS es el insomnio o los problemas de sueño en general. Diversos estudios han comprobado que tanto la exposición a campos electromagnéticos como la exposición a radiofrecuencia pueden causar afecciones en el sueño, además de otros síntomas que mencionamos en nuestro artículo sobre síntomas comunes del EHS

Un informe muy temprano de Schliephake (1932) reportó que en funcionarios soviéticos altamente expuestos y personas hipersensibles se presentaban efectos no termales como consecuencia de la exposición a la radiofrecuencia. Mencionó que, además de dolores de cabeza, sensaciones pulsantes en la frente, estados depresivos y la fatiga pronunciada durante el día, notó que los sujetos tenían noches inquietas y sin descanso. 

Por otro lado, un cuestionario del año 2001 realizado en Suiza demostró que un 58% de los sujetos que decían tener enfermedades relacionadas con la exposición a los campos electromagnéticos sufrían problemas de sueño. Los encuestados atribuyen sus síntomas a estaciones de telefonía móvil (74%), teléfonos móviles (36%) teléfonos inalámbricos (29%) y líneas de alto voltaje (27%).

Un estudio finlandés en personas con EHS también reveló que los síntomas más comunes estaban relacionados con el sistema nervioso: estrés (60%), trastornos del sueño (59%) y fatiga (57%). Según el 76% de los encuestados, el dejar de exponerse a los campos electromagnético generados por computadores y teléfonos móviles contribuyó con su recuperación total o parcial.

¿Cómo evitar estos problemas?

Desde nuestra experiencia, aconsejamos a nuestros clientes a poner especial atención a las áreas donde duermen, pues es aquí donde están más vulnerables por un tiempo más prolongado. Además, el sueño tiene un rol vital en la regeneración del cuerpo y la salud general. 

En los cientos de casos de estudio en los que hemos participado, sugerimos a las personas mantener su habitación lo más libre de elementos contaminantes que sea posible. Sin embargo, ¿qué pasa cuando no puedes sacar ciertas tecnologías de tu cuarto? O mejor dicho, cuando no quieres hacerlo, tu pareja se opone o cualquier otra razón de peso para no hacerlo… ¿Cómo puedes proteger tu sueño y aún así tener un cuarto moderno? Entonces puedes atender ciertos aspectos para disminuir la contaminación:

  • El sistema de iluminación: evitar usar bombillos de luz fría o blanca, asegura que toda tu habitación use luz cálida. 
  • Deshazte de las extensiones: coloca conexiones eléctricas permanentes y de buena calidad que estén correctamente aterradas. Busca ayuda de un profesional para garantizar una instalación óptima.
  • Evita usar telas sintéticas: Para cortinas o las fundas de tu cama, intenta evitar este material o sustitúyelo gradualmente por otro. 
  • Filtra la electricidad sucia: Utiliza un filtro Stroom Master y enchúfalo en la cercanía de tu cama. 
  • Duerme lejos del teléfono celular: Trata de no llevar el teléfono celular a la cama, ubícalo en una mesa lejos de ti. Si lo usas como reloj despertador, colócalo en modo avión. As we mentioned on previous articles, all of this devices emit artificial electromagnetic fields that have biological effects on our body and affect functions as vital as our sleep patterns. Although it is a well-known and a proven fact, little is said about the many negative effects on sleep and overall health of sleeping near electronic and wireless devices.

In this blog, we want to tell you more about all the sleeping problems related to electromagnetic pollution and how we work to avoid them.

What are sleep problems?

Sleep disorders are conditions that disrupt normal sleep patterns. These conditions are related to a reduced level of melatonin. There are more than 80 different sleep disorders, among which are insomnia, sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, hypersomnia, circadian rhythm disorders and parasomnia.

Getting enough sleep each night is absolutely necessary in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle and ensure normal functioning of the endocrine and immune systems. In general, people suffering from sleep disorders feel tired during the day, they are irritable and, due to the lack of rest, they tend to develop other more serious and evident pathologies in the long term.

Electrohypersensitivity and sleep problems

One of the most prominent symptoms of EHS is insomnia or sleep problems in general. Various studies have found that both exposure to electromagnetic fields and exposure to radiofrequency can cause sleep disorders, in addition to other symptoms that we mentioned in our article on common symptoms of EHS.

A very early report by Schliephake (1932) reported that non-thermal effects occurred in highly exposed Soviet officials and hypersensitive people as a result of exposure to radio frequency. He mentioned that, in addition to headaches, pulsating sensations on the forehead, depressive states, and pronounced fatigue during the day, he noted that the subjects had restless nights.

On the other hand, a 2001 questionnaire carried out in Switzerland showed that 58% of the subjects who claimed to have illnesses related to exposure to electromagnetic fields suffered from sleep problems. Respondents attributed their symptoms to mobile phone stations (74%), mobile phones (36%), cordless phones (29%), and high-voltage lines (27%).

A Finnish study in people with EHS also revealed that the most common symptoms were related to the nervous system: stress (60%), sleep disorders (59%), and fatigue (57%). According to 76% of those surveyed, ceasing to be exposed to electromagnetic fields generated by computers and mobile phones contributed to their total or partial recovery.

How to avoid these problems?

From our experience, we advise our clients to pay special attention to the areas where they sleep, as this is where they are most vulnerable for a longer time. Furthermore, sleep plays a vital role in body regeneration and overall health.

In the hundreds of case studies we have participated in, we suggest that people keep their rooms as free from contaminating elements as possible. However, what happens when you can’t get certain technologies out of your room? Or rather, when you don’t want to get rid of them, your partner opposes to it or any other strong reason… How can you protect your sleep and still have a modern room? Then you can take care of certain aspects to decrease pollution:

  • The lighting system: avoid using cold or white light bulbs, ensure that your entire room uses warm light.
  • Get rid of extensions: put in good quality, permanent electrical connections that are properly grounded. Seek professional help to ensure an optimal installation.
  • Avoid using synthetic fabrics: For curtains or bed covers, try to avoid this material or gradually replace it with another.
  • Filter dirty electricity: Use a Stroom Master filter and plug it in close to your bed.
  • Sleep away from your cell phone: Try not to take the cell phone to bed, place it on a table away from you. If you use it as an alarm clock, put it in airplane mode. Today, our homes are immersed in polluting electromagnetic fields; But do you know which are the main sources of that contamination? Here we tell you.

In today’s world, absolutely all the spaces in which we live are charged with electromagnetic fields (EMF) that have harmful effects on our natural ecosystem and its species; but, above all, in our short and long-term health. These fields are produced by electronic and electrical appliances and appliances we use on a daily basis, telecommunications and even electrical cables in all the buildings that surround us.

So if you ask if you are protected from them in your home, the answer is NO. The reason is that, normally, your home is full of electrical appliances, cables, electrical extensions and wireless connections that create electromagnetic fields of different strengths that are always present.

Now, as we have mentioned, not all electronic devices in your home have the same potential for electromagnetic contamination. You should bear in mind that some appliances need more electricity for their functions, so they produce electric and magnetic fields of greater amplitude and intensity (more powerful and more polluting).

1. The microwave oven

We have previously discussed this artifact in previous blogs. While it is true that there are many myths about the microwave oven, we must admit that, with all the tests we have done in our years of experience and also based on other scientific studies, this appliance is one of the most polluting at home.

And we are not talking about the effects on food quality or a possible microwave leak, which is where most of the common concerns point; but to the intensity of the electromagnetic fields they produce when operating.

With this in mind, it is recommended to pay special attention to the kitchen as a center of high exposure in the house; because the microwave oven, together with the other appliances located in the kitchen, create a contamination of fields associated with electricity and, therefore, dirty power in the wiring; which, in addition to having a harmful effect on health, also affects the useful life of the appliances.

Now, if you are not a person who frequents the kitchen a lot, you might think that this is not relevant for you; But did you know that the field emitted by the microwave oven during its operation can reach the spaces next to the kitchen? The same goes for the refrigerator, which emits fields that add to the pollution in the room just behind and can disturb the sleep of people who are resting there.

2. The electrical panel

The household electrical panel is basically the housing for all the electrical lines; even a large house can have more than one of these. Wherever the panel is located, it will be a source of electromagnetic contamination from extremely low frequency fields (ELF).

Basically, the electrical panel distributes through the electrical wiring of the home all the power received by the outside; In addition to that, everything that is connected in the house generates an additional electrical charge to the panel and an amperage that creates a stronger magnetic field on the panel itself.

In some parts of the world, the panel is in the kitchen, the laundry room, or living room; but, elsewhere, it is found in the bedroom, and in these cases it can become the cause of sleep disturbances, irritability, lack of concentration, general tiredness or feeling of fatigue. Take into account the location of your electrical panel and see if there are household members living near it.

When we talk about the electrical panel, many people also frequently ask us about electric meters, which in many countries are wireless and connect “intelligently” with the electric company, the so-called smart meters. Definitely, we must answer that these are also a source of electromagnetic contamination. 3. Wi-Fi

The third most polluting source at home is the WI-FI. As surprising as it sounds, the WIFI signal has a frequency very similar to that produced by the microwave oven to heat food. Today’s WiFi has two types of signals: 2.4 GHz (standard) and 5.8 GHz (5G WiFi, which has nothing to do with mobile phone 5G calls – read more in our article about the myths and truths of 5G); and, nowadays, most of the routers (device that produces and distributes the signal throughout the home) spread not only one, but both frequencies simultaneously.

With this in mind, we highlight that the WIFI router not only produces quite significant electromagnetic pollution in the room where it is located; but, since the signal is distributed throughout the home, it also pollutes to a lesser extent the other spaces of the house. The WiFi signal is spreading in the form of electromagnetic impulses 24/7. Sometimes, the router is inside one of the bedrooms and, in that case, it becomes more harmful to its inhabitants, since it alters the rhythm of sleep, the nervous system, the brain frequencies while sleeping, and the variability heart rate.

In many of the homes we have evaluated over our years of experience, we find that more than one of these elements is mixed in the same space or in areas very close to each other. In addition to that, there may be more than one electrical panel, more than one microwave, and more than one WiFi router.

In addition, in relation to WiFi, it is important to note that emissions grow year after year. In urban areas, we find that households receive dozens of WiFi signals from their neighbors and from the municipality itself. Additionally, new devices and household appliances are coming with WiFi: TVs, refrigerators, coffee machines, alarm clocks, among others. This means that, despite having one or two WiFi Routers, we are exposed to many WiFi emitters that add up every day.

Just because of these special cases, people are much more exposed to electromagnetic fields every day and there is a greater chance that one or more inhabitants of the home will be affected with multiple discomforts, negative biological effects and, over time, they could develop EHS (syndrome of electrohypersensitivity).

Some years ago, Noxtak launched an initiative to group the most common symptoms of EHS. Here we tell you what we have done and how.

EMC or Electrosmog contamination is a common and continuous aspect in our daily lives: it is in our homes, offices, parks, hospitals, schools, universities, theaters, cinemas, shopping malls and, practically, in all the places we frequent. All electronic and telecommunications equipment creates a pollution that has harmful influences on our health and our natural environment.

As a consequence of this exposure, health damage occurs slowly and you don’t even realize it. Keep in mind that these signals and fields are invisible to the human eye, also, their effects manifest just like the beginning of diseases that we already know. For this reason, many people do not relate these known symptoms with daily exposure to electromagnetic radiation.

We call this physical discomfort generated by EMFs electrohypersensitivity (EHS) (also known as electromagnetic hypersensitivity), an environmental pathology caused by exposure to electromagnetic fields from man-made artificial sources. Essentially, it is an Electrical Stress syndrome caused by the accumulation of electromagnetic charges.

To detect this syndrome and provide assistance to people who may suffer it, we have developed a material based on scientific foundations and several pieces of research that preceded us. Next, we will tell you more about the EHS questionnaire.

Where does the EHS questionnaire come from?

It took 30 years to reach a consensus in science on whether or not artificial fields and waves are harmful to human health. Today there is enough evidence of damage to achieve a scientific consensus. Since 2004, several studies have been released alerting society to this problem. In the same way, in 2011, the WHO concluded on the carcinogenic potential of RF (radiofrequency), as indicated in the 2012 Bioinitiative Report. In the following 2 years, 2012 and 2013, more than 1800 studies were published that support this new consensus.

With this in mind, Noxtak launched an initiative to develop a compendium of common EHS symptoms that could be easily identified, as well as their intensity levels, frequency of occurrence, and a preliminary examination. To build this material, we rely on various scientific investigations and the experience of several professionals from different areas of health.

For example, the Bioinitiative Report is a very famous report signed by various respected doctors and scientists around the world. Similarly, we draw on the studies of Prof. Olle Johansson of the Karolinska Institute in Sweden; and also in surveys carried out by the Dutch Federation of Electrohypersensitivity.

Initially, based on all the symptoms collected by associations of aid to electro-sensitive and electrohypersensitive people in Europe, the list grouped 45 symptoms. Then, we managed to group them by typology and arrived at 34 common symptoms. Today, with our experience and studies in hundreds of EHS cases, we bring the list to the 29 most common symptoms.

What is the questionnaire for?

As we have mentioned, people who suffer from EHS manifest multiple common symptoms without any type of health problem or without being under some type of medical treatment. It is important to highlight that EHS is not a disease, but a general discomfort reaction in a specific environment associated with high electromagnetic pollution (electrosmog).

With this in mind, we highlight that this questionnaire is not intended to diagnose a disease nor do we intend to provide medical treatment. The material is only intended to let you know that you might be exposed to high electromagnetic pollution in your environment that is physically affecting you.

Why was the questionnaire created?

The protocol of patient surveys is commonly used in medicine as an exploratory method to locate in what range a person’s condition can be just by asking some specific questions. For example, this method is used to diagnose a person with sleep apnea and classify the level of the condition. For this purpose, there are 3 different questionnaires. In the case of tinnitus, there are also 4 evaluation questionnaires.

Now, according to the criteria of various specialists, we have concluded that such an extensive number of questions to evaluate certain conditions may be excessive for many people and could make them desist before finishing. For this reason, at Noxtak we reinvented the method and decided to do, initially, a better condensed introductory questionnaire to give a more immediate response. This does not mean that we disregard the original questionnaires established by health specialists; Instead, we let each person decide if they want to go deeper into certain symptoms with the support of doctors.

Again, here we are based on the criteria of Prof. Olle Johansson, who states that electrohypersensitivity is not a disease, but a condition that can develop a person with sensitivity to different environmental toxins; in this case, to electromagnetic conditions. So, we reiterate that it does not consist in treating a disease, but in controlling an environmental problem in which the doctor can do nothing but alleviate the discomfort, so it is the municipality who can take actions to reduce contamination.

Desde hace varios años, Noxtak puso en marcha una iniciativa para agrupar los síntomas más comunes del EHS. Aquí te contamos qué hemos hecho y cómo.

La contaminación CEM o Electrosmog es un aspecto común y continuo en nuestras vidas: está en nuestros hogares, oficinas, parques, hospitales, escuelas, universidades, teatros, cines, centros comerciales y prácticamente en todos los lugares que frecuentamos. Básicamente, todos los equipos electrónicos y telecomunicaciones crean una contaminación que tiene influencias nocivas en nuestra salud y en nuestro medio ambiente natural. 

Como consecuencia de esta exposición, el daño a la salud ocurre lentamente y no te das cuenta. Ten en cuenta que estas señales y campos son invisibles para el ojo humano, además, sus efectos se manifiestan justo como el comienzo de enfermedades que ya conocemos. Por esta razón, muchas personas no relacionan estos síntomas conocidos con esa exposición cotidiana a la radiación electromagnética.

A esta molestia física generada por los CEM le llamamos electrohipersensibilidad (EHS) (también conocida como hipersensibilidad electromagnética), una patología ambiental provocada por la exposición a campos electromagnéticos de fuentes artificiales creadas por el hombre. Básicamente, es un síndrome de Estrés Eléctrico provocado por la acumulación de cargas electromagnéticas.

Con el propósito de detectar este síndrome y brindar asistencia a las personas que puedan sufrirlo, hemos desarrollado un material basado en fundamentos científicos e investigaciones reales que nos precedieron. A continuación, te contaremos más sobre el cuestionario EHS.

¿De dónde nace el cuestionario EHS?

Tomó 30 años alcanzar un consenso en la ciencia sobre si los campos y ondas artificiales son o no perjudiciales para la salud humana. Hoy hay suficiente evidencia de daños para lograr un consenso científico. Desde el 2004, varios estudios se han hecho públicos alertando a la sociedad sobre este problema. De la misma forma, en el 2011, la OMS concluyó sobre el potencial carcinogénico de RF (radiofrecuencia), como se indica en el Informe Bioinitiative del 2012. En los siguientes 2 años, 2012 y 2013, se publicaron más de 1800 estudios que respaldan este nuevo consenso.

Teniendo en cuenta esto, Noxtak puso en marcha una iniciativa para elaborar un compendio de los síntomas comunes del EHS que podrían ser fácilmente identificados, así como sus niveles de intensidad, frecuencia de aparición y una exploración preliminar. Para lograr construir este material, nos basamos en diversas investigaciones científicas previas y en el expertise de profesionales de distintas áreas de la salud.

Por ejemplo, el Bioiniative Report es un informe muy famoso firmado por numerosos médicos y científicos respetados alrededor del mundo. De la misma forma, nos basamos en los estudios del Prof. Olle Johansson, del Karolinska Institute de Suecia; y también en encuestas realizadas por la Federación Holandesa de Electrohipersensibilidad.

Inicialmente, con base en todos los síntomas que las asociaciones de ayuda a electrosensibles y electrohipersensibles en Europa habían recolectado, la lista agrupaba 45 síntomas. Luego logramos agruparlos por tipología y llegamos a 34 síntomas comunes. Hoy, con nuestra experiencia y estudios en cientos de casos de EHS, llevamos el listado a los 29 síntomas más comunes. 

¿Para qué sirve el cuestionario EHS? 

Como lo hemos comentado, las personas que sufren de EHS manifiestan múltiples síntomas comunes sin ningún tipo de problemas de salud o sin estar bajo algún tipo de tratamiento médico. Es importante destacar que el EHS no es una enfermedad, sino una reacción de malestar general en un ambiente en específico asociado a una elevada contaminación electromagnética (electro-smog).

Con esto en mente, resaltamos que este cuestionario no está destinado a diagnosticar una enfermedad ni pretendemos brindar un tratamiento médico. El material solo tiene la finalidad de hacerte saber que podrías estar expuesto a una alta contaminación electromagnética en tu entorno que está afectándote físicamente.

¿Por qué se creó el cuestionario EHS?

El protocolo de encuestas a los pacientes se usa comúnmente en la medicina como un método exploratorio para ubicar en qué rango puede estar la condición de una persona con solo hacerle una cantidad de preguntas específicas. Por ejemplo, este método se usa para diagnosticar a una persona que tenga apnea del sueño y clasificar el nivel de la afección. Para este propósito, existen 3 cuestionarios distintos. En el caso del tinnitus, también existen 4 cuestionarios de evaluación. 

Ahora, según el criterio de diversos especialistas, concluimos que una cantidad tan extensa de preguntas para evaluar ciertas condiciones puede ser excesiva para mucha gente y podría hacerlos desistir antes de terminar. Por ello, en Noxtak reinventamos el método y decidimos hacer, inicialmente, un cuestionario introductorio mejor condensado para dar una respuesta más inmediata. Esto no quiere decir que prescindamos de los cuestionarios originales establecidos por los especialistas de la salud; sino que dejamos que cada persona decida si quiere profundizar más en ciertos síntomas con el apoyo de médicos.  

Nuevamente, aquí nos basamos en el criterio del Prof. Olle Johansson, que afirma que la electrohipersensibilidad no es una enfermedad, sino una condición que puede desarrollar una persona con sensibilidad a distintas toxinas ambientales; en este caso, a las condiciones electromagnéticas. Entonces, reiteramos que no consiste en tratar una enfermedad, sino en controlar un problema ambiental en el que el médico no puede hacer más que paliar las molestias, pero es la municipalidad quien puede tomar acciones para disminuir la contaminación.

For years, we have studied the effects of our SPIRO technology to counteract the symptoms of electrohypersensitivity. Here we tell you more about what we have found.

Since 2014, we have been conducting extensive EHS research in Aruba. Our investigations have continued to be enriched by the experience of multiple allies from other areas of knowledge and various independent cases that have emerged over time.

At Noxtak we have evaluated different cases based on the questionnaire with the 29 common symptoms associated with EHS, a material we created based on testimonies from multiple organizations in Europe, such as the Dutch Federation of Electrohypersensitivity and other scientific documents on the subject, such as those written by Prof. Olle Johansson from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.

Below, we will detail 5 specific cases of EHS in Aruba in which our SPIRO technology was a key in helping the symptoms disappear.

CASE # 1: The electrical panel in the bedroom

An electrosensitive woman of more than 70 years living in the Savaneta sector. The woman suffered from Tinnitus, sleep problems, general tiredness, and pain.

From the study of her home, we found that the main source of contamination was the main household electrical panel, which was located inside the bedroom (this is very common on the island of Aruba, where many households have electrical panels in the main room). Additionally, the home had a high rate of dirty electricity and standard exposure to mobile phone waves.

Solution: In this case, a double correction was applied with 100% emission control efficiency: a SPIRO CARD L2 filter for the mobile phone, and a SPIRO CARD L4 for the electrical panel.

CASE # 2: A high concentration of electronic devices

A family home located in the San Nicolás sector: A 62-year-old electro-sensitive woman presenting moderate tinnitus, headache without a known cause, general tiredness and sleep problems. In the annex house, a 30-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman, and a 1-year-old baby. The baby had allergies and the young couple had sleep problems.

We found general dirty electricity issues around the house, there also was a cordless phone with multiple bases and multiple earphones with 6.2 GHz transmission, plus an electrical panel in the main bedroom. In the annex house, right in the baby and couple’s room, there was a high concentration of electronic equipment and a video game console near the baby’s crib.

Solution: With 100% contamination control efficiency, multiple SPIRO CARD L2 and SPIRO CARD L3 were applied here. Changes in electrical connections, extensions, and types of light bulbs in the home were also suggested.

CASE # 3: Dirty electricity and alternating fields

A 73-year-old woman living alone in the Eagle area. She suffered from headaches, general fatigue, and tingling in the limbs. The origin of these conditions was due to contamination from dirty electricity and alternative fields from the electrical panel near the main bedroom.

Solution: The solution applied with 100% control efficiency was a SPIRO DISC L4 in the Electric Panel, a dirty electricity filter STROOM MASTER in the main bedroom, a SPIRO CARD L3 in the kitchen, and a SPIRO CARD L2 for the mobile phone.

CASE # 4: A severe exposure zone

A 61-year-old man with a medium level hypersensitivity who lives alone in a family home in the Cumaná area.

This individual is one of the most pronounced cases of electromagnetic exposure due to various factors in the vicinity of the house: power lines, mobile phone radio lines, proximity to the airport, among others. This led us to classify his case as a very severe exposure zone of the three sources of contamination from nearby fields, both by electronics and household appliances and by extremely high dirty electricity and a highly significant microwave signals.

Solution: In this case, the corrective measures necessary to control 100% of the contamination in that house involved drastic measures to change irregular electrical connections, adequate holding, change of energy-saving light bulbs, installation of 5 dirty electricity filters STROOM MASTER, and 3 SPIRO L5+ (today is known as SPIRO DISC 5G).

CASE #5: The most severe case of advanced electrohypersensitivity

A 75-year-old woman living alone in a family home in the Seroe Blanco area. This is, so far, the most severe case of advanced electro-hypersensitivity that NOXTAK has studied on the island of Aruba. This person had 25 of the 29 common symptoms with frequent or permanent manifestation.

In the study, we were able to verify that her residential area contained a high level of contamination from high frequencies of microwave signals with peak power densities 10 times higher than other areas of high contamination on the island.

Solution: For 100% control of electromagnetic contamination, the lighting system was replaced, inadequate or defective electrical connections were removed, and 4 SPIRO L4 discs and 3 SPIRO L5 discs were installed.

Follow-up: In this specific case, household measurements were followed every 12 months from the first implementation in 2014. For 3 years, no update was required; but by 2017, certain areas of the home required an extra update, and 4 Stetzerizer filters were implemented in areas far from the bedroom since the woman also presented sensitivity to the fields associated with these electronic filters.

In the 2018 measurement, we found an increase in outdoor pollution due to an industrial facility that was built in front of the woman’s house. This required the placement of 2 SPIRO L5+ discs.

Then, in the 2019 measurement, we found that Stetzerizer filters were no longer able to filter the dirty electricity, so they were replaced by STROOM MASTER filters. On this occasion, these filters were added to the bedroom, since they do not cause any disturbance for the electrohypersensitive people. Finally, in March 2020, the SPIRO L5 solutions were updated with the new SPIRO 5G.

The nocebo effect

Of the numerous cases we have detected during our studies, there were 8 specific cases that, according to the symptoms manifested in the questionnaire, indicated having a level of severe electrohypersensitivity, the highest possible of the 6 established levels. 3 of these 8 cases showed continuous adverse reactions during 2 weeks when faced with contaminating devices, such as a WIFI router, cell phones of close people, or even proximity to mobile phone antennas. These individuals had a nocebo effect just by seeing or knowing that they were close to these technologies because they knew that these things were harmful to their health.

On more than one occasion, we visited these subjects and, with measuring devices, we demonstrated that they were not exposed to harmful fields at the time. Only after these technical demonstrations, these people began to stop associating negatively all electromagnetic sources.

These specific cases were very useful in our investigation since they showed us that some of the individuals who present symptoms associated with electromagnetism can develop a paranoia with the simple presence of electronic devices. Unfortunately, these cases have also led doctors to the erroneous conclusion that all EHS cases are mental.

In our experience, we have shown that most cases of EHS are individuals who do not believe or know that electromagnetic radiation can produce some type of harmful effect on their health or a temporary negative biological effect. Additionally, we know that there is not much preparation on the characteristics of electrohypersensitivity in health professionals, which causes people to be treated the wrong way and feel affected by other diseases that they do not have.

Without a doubt, SPIRO has proven to be an effective solution to combat EHS symptoms. Our technology is the only solution to filter electromagnetic waves without blocking their path. We have been certified by different independent laboratories and, also, our technology has been awarded multiple times. We continue to defend the position that electromagnetic pollution can be filtered and balanced while continuing to use technologies.

Durante años, hemos estudiado los efectos de nuestra tecnología para contrarrestar los síntomas de la electrohipersensibilidad. Aquí te contamos más sobre lo que hemos hallado.

Desde el año 2014, hemos estado conduciendo investigaciones sobre el EHS en Aruba. Nuestras investigaciones han seguido enriqueciéndose con la experiencia de múltiples aliados de otras áreas del conocimiento y diversos casos independientes que han surgido a lo largo del tiempo.

En Noxtak hemos evaluado distintos casos basándonos en el cuestionario con los 29 síntomas comunes asociados con el EHS, un material que creamos basado en testimonios de múltiples organizaciones en Europa, como la Federación Holandesa de electrohipersensibilidad y otros documentos científicos sobre el tema, como los escritos por el Prof. Olle Johansson del Karolinska Institute en Suecia.

A continuación, detallaremos 5 casos específicos de EHS en Aruba en los que nuestra tecnología SPIRO fue clave para ayudar a desaparecer los síntomas. 

CASO #1: El panel eléctrico en el dormitorio

Una mujer electrosensible de más de 70 años viviendo en el sector de Savaneta. La mujer sufría de Tinnitus, problemas de sueño, cansancio general y dolores.

Del estudio de su hogar, encontramos que la fuente de contaminación principal fue su panel eléctrico principal del hogar, que se encontraba dentro de su dormitorio (esto es algo muy común en la isla de Aruba, allí muchos hogares tienen la sus paneles eléctricos en el cuarto principal del hogar); adicionalmente, el hogar presentaba un elevado índice de electricidad sucia y una exposición estándar de ondas de telefonía móvil.

Solución: En este caso se aplicó un doble correctivo con eficiencia de control de emisiones del 100%: un filtro SPIRO CARD L2 para su móvil y un SPIRO CARD L4 para su panel eléctrico.

CASO #2: Una alta concentración de equipos electrónicos

Una casa de familia localizada en el sector de San Nicolás: Una mujer de 62 años electro sensible intermedia presentando tinnitus moderado, dolor de cabeza sin causa conocida, cansancio general y problemas del sueño. En la casa anexo, un hombre de 30 años, una mujer de 25 años y un bebé de 1 año. El bebé presentaba alergias y la pareja joven problemas sueños. 

Encontramos problemas de electricidad sucia generales en la casa, uso del teléfono inalámbrico con múltiples bases y múltiples auriculares con transmisión de 6.2 GHz, además de un panel eléctrico en dormitorio principal. En la casa anexo, justo en el cuarto del bebé y la pareja, había una alta concentración de equipos electrónicos y una consola de videosjuegos cercana a la cuna del bebé.

Solución: Con una eficiencia del 100% de control de contaminación, aquí se aplicaron múltiples SPIRO CARD L2 y múltiples SPIRO CARD L3. También se sugirieron cambios en las conexiones eléctricas, extensiones y tipos de bombillo en la vivienda. 

CASO #3: Electricidad sucia y campos alternantes

Una mujer de 73 años viviendo sola en la zona de Eagle. Sufría de dolor de cabeza, fatiga general y hormigueo en las extremidades. El origen de sus afecciones se debía a una contaminación de electricidad sucia y de campos alternantes provenientes del panel eléctrico cercano a su dormitorio principal.

Solución: La solución aplicada con eficiencia del 100% de control fue un SPIRO DISC L4 en el Panel Eléctrico, un filtro de electricidad sucia STROOM MASTER en el dormitorio principal, una SPIRO CARD L3 en la cocina y un SPIRO CARD L2 para el teléfono móvil.

CASO #4 : Una zona de exposición severa

Hombre de 61 años con hipersensibilidad media que vive solo en una casa de familia en la zona de Cumana.  

Este individuo presentó uno de los casos más acentuados de exposición electromagnética por diversos factores en la cercanía de la casa: líneas de corriente (power lines), radio bases de telefonía móvil, cercanía al aeropuerto, entre otros. Lo anterior nos llevó a clasificar su caso como una zona de exposición muy severa de las tres fuentes de contaminación de campos cercanos tanto por los electrónicos y electrodomésticos, como por electricidad sucia extremadamente alta y una densidad de potencia de señales microondas altamente significativa.

Solución: En este caso, los correctivos necesarios para el control del 100% de la contaminación de esa casa implicaron medidas drásticas de cambio de conexiones eléctricas irregulares, aferramiento adecuado, cambio de bombillos ahorradores, instalación de 5 filtros de electricidad sucia STROOM MASTER y 3 discos SPIRO L5+ (hoy conocido como SPIRO DISC 5G).

CASO #5: El caso más severo de electrohipersensibilidad avanzada

Una mujer de 75 años viviendo sola en una casa de familia en la zona de Seroe Blanco. Este es, hasta ahora, el caso más alto de electro hipersensibilidad avanzada que NOXTAK ha estudiado en la isla de Aruba.Esta persona presentaba 25 de los 29 síntomas comunes con manifestación frecuente o permanentemente. 

En el estudio, pudimos constatar que su zona residencial contenía un elevado nivel de contaminación de altas frecuencias de señales microonda con densidades de potencia con picos 10 veces más altos que otras zonas de alta contaminación en la isla.

Solución: Para un control del 100% de la contaminación electromagnética, se sustituyó el sistema de iluminación, se eliminaron conexiones eléctricas inadecuadas o defectuosas y se instalaron 4 discos SPIRO L4 y 3 discos SPIRO L5. 

Seguimiento: En este caso específico, se hizo seguimiento de mediciones al hogar cada 12 meses desde la primera implementación en 2014. Durante 3 años no requirió actualización alguna; pero para el 2017 ciertas áreas del hogar requirieron una actualización extra y se implementaron 4 filtros Stetzerizer en áreas lejanas al dormitorio, pues la mujer también presentaba sensibilidad al campo asociado a dichos filtros electrónicos. 

En la medición de 2018 encontramos un aumento en la contaminación exterior debido a una instalación industrial que fue construida frente de la casa de la mujer. Esto requirió la colocación de 2 discos SPIRO L5+. 

Luego, para la medición del 2019, encontramos que los filtros de corriente sucia Stetzerizer ya no lograban filtrar la corriente sucia, así que se sustituyeron por los filtros STROOM MASTER. En esta ocasión se añadieron dichos filtros al dormitorio, ya que los mismos no producen perturbación alguna para los electrohipersensibles. Finalmente, en marzo del 2020 se actualizaron las soluciones de SPIRO L5 por los nuevos SPIRO 5G.

El efecto nocebo

De los numerosos casos que hemos detectado en nuestros estudios, hubo 8 casos específicos que, según los síntomas manifestados en el cuestionario, indicaron tener un nivel de electrohipersensibilidad severa, el más alto posible de los 6 niveles establecidos. 3 de estos 8 casos mostraron por 2 semanas continuas reacciones adversas al estar frente a equipos contaminantes, como un router WIFI, teléfonos celulares de personas cercanas o incluso cercanía a antenas de telefonía móvil. Estos individuos presentaban un efecto nocebo con solo ver o saber que estaban cerca de estas tecnologías, pues sabían que estas cosas eran nocivas para su salud.

En más de una ocasión visitamos a estos sujetos y, con dispositivos medidores, les demostramos que no estaban expuestos a campos nocivos al momento. Solo ante esas demostraciones técnicas, estas personas empezaron a dejar de asociar negativamente todas las fuentes electromagnéticas.

Estos casos específicos fueron muy útiles en nuestra investigación, pues nos demostraron que algunos de los individuos que presentan síntomas asociados al electromagnetismo, pueden desarrollar una paranoia asociada a la simple presencia de dispositivos electrónicos. Desafortunadamente, estos casos también han llevado a los médicos a las conclusiones erróneas de que todos los casos de EHS son mentales.

En nuestra experiencia, hemos demostrado que la mayoría de los casos de EHS son individuos que no creen o saben que la radiación electromagnética puede producir algún tipo de efecto nocivo en su salud o un efecto biológico negativo temporal. Adicionalmente, sabemos que no hay mucha preparación sobre las características de la electrohipersensibilidad en los profesionales de la salud, lo que hace que la personas sean tratadas de la forma incorrecta y que se sientan afectados por otras enfermedades que no tienen.

Sin duda alguna, SPIRO ha demostrado ser una solución efectiva para combatir los síntomas del EHS. Nuestra tecnología es la única solución para filtrar las ondas electromágnéticas sin necesidad de bloquear su trayectoria. Hemos sido certificados por distintos laboratorios independientes y, además, nuestra tecnología ha sido premiada múltiples veces. La electrohipersensibilidad (EHS) es una afección muy controversial, poco conocida y poco comprendida. Aquí te explicamos un poco más sobre ella.

La electrohipersensibilidad (EHS), también conocida como sensibilidad electromagnética o hipersensibilidad electromagnética, es un síndrome en el cual un individuo experimenta molestias físicas como consecuencia de las tecnologías inalámbricas, dispositivos eléctricos, torres de telecomunicaciones, Wi-Fi, teléfonos móviles, teléfonos inalámbricos o campos magnéticos provocados por las líneas de electricidad.

Hasta hace poco, esta condición se desarrollaba únicamente en un grupo reducido de personas expuestas a radiaciones electromagnéticas. Los individuos que lo padecían usualmente tenían una condición preexistente genética de tendencias a hipersensibilidad diversa.

Aunque la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) no la considera una enfermedad, actualmente existen docenas de asociaciones en más de 20 países quienes se han dedicado en la última década a estudiar y ayudar a personas que manifiestan padecer EHS.

Entendiendo más sobre la electrohipersensibilidad

El EHS se presenta como alarma en el cuerpo de quien lo padece, una especie de advertencia dolorosa que le indica a la persona que el organismo está llegando a su límite de tolerancia a campos electromagnéticos (CEM) artificiales (emanados de fuentes creadas por el hombre) a nivel celular.

La explicación a esto es que nuestras células intercambian cargas eléctricas y magnéticas que pasan a través de la membrana celular. Así que los cambios en los microtúbulos, especialmente en los canales iónicos de calcio, conllevan a una hipersensibilidad electromagnética celular.

El EHS se expresa entonces como un reflejo condicionado a una radiación de este tipo que esté en el entorno y que porte suficiente intensidad como para ser capaz de producir un estrés eléctrico en las células. La intensidad de la radiación y las frecuencias que más fácilmente inducen esta respuesta celular de estrés varía en cada persona que presenta un grado de EHS. 

El Prof. Olle Johansson, miembro del departamento de dermatología del Instituto Karolinska en Suecia, fue uno de los precursores en el estudio de esta extraña condición del EHS desde el año 1980. Según sus estudios, esta afección resulta ser como una reacción “alérgica” a un ambiente hostil. Es decir, no es una enfermedad, sino una condición de hipersensibilidad a las ondas; por ejemplo, en programas y documentales españoles lo llaman los «Alérgicos al WIFI».

Síntomas asociados a la electrohipersensibilidad

La sintomatología que presentan las personas que sufren este síndrome es muy diversa e inespecífica, por lo que su detección precoz o su diagnóstico suele ser atípico y complicado. Por ejemplo, pueden evidenciarse uno o varios síntomas que surgen o se intensifican al situarse cerca de aparatos eléctricos, transformadores y líneas de alta tensión, antenas de telefonía móvil, router de Wifi entre otros dispositivos.

En nuestros casos de estudio y proyectos de control de emisiones hemos encontrado que un porcentaje de las personas que dicen tener EHS presentan un efecto nocebo ante las radiaciones. Es decir, son individuos que se sugestionan negativamente y expresan molestias o dolores con solo ver la presencia de un dispositivo electrónico. Estas personas no consideramos que tengan EHS, sino que están aterrados y sugestionados por el bombardeo de información presente en los medios.

También hemos observado sujetos con una condición de paranoia psicológica; personas que permanecen con medidores de campos electromagnéticos y quienes continuamente están «cazando» dichas ondas. A esto tampoco se le considera EHS.

Una persona con EHS es quien experimenta síntomas que en la medicina no tienen causa conocida. Estas son personas que incluso ignoran la existencia de las ondas electromagnéticas o Electrosmog y aún así están afectadas. 

De las diversas investigaciones que hemos hecho, hemos reunido 29 síntomas específicos que evidencian este síndrome:

1. Fatiga (Cansancio General)

2. Problemas para dormir – Insomnio

3. Dormir en exceso

4. Irritabilidad

5. Nerviosismo

6. Problemas en la piel (erupciones, picazón, otros)

7. Ritmo anormal del corazón – Taquicardia (Arritmia)

8. Problemas de presión arterial

9. Colon Irritable

10. Pérdida auditiva

11. Dolor en los oídos

12. Zumbido en los oídos

13. Ruido en los oídos

14. Campanas en los oídos

15. Dolor en las cejas

16. Visión Borrosa

17. Mareo

18. Problemas de concentración

19. Problemas de memoria (corto plazo)

20. Dolor de cabeza

21. Enrojecimiento de la cara

22. Inflamación de la cara

23. Sensación de calor en el rostro

24. Sensación de adormecimiento en la cabeza

25. Sensación de presión en la cabeza

26. Sensación de banda apretada alrededor de la cabeza

27. Sensación de pinchazos en la piel

28. Sensación de presión en el pecho

29. Sensación de falta de oxígeno

¿Cuáles son los tipos de exposición CEM que inducen la electrohipersensibilidad?

Existen dos tipos de exposición electromagnética artificial que pueden ser causantes de este síndrome:

1. Aquella que proviene de la corriente, usualmente por electricidad sucia (muchas interferencias EMI en el cableado) del hogar u oficina, o por exposición industrial a campos de alta tensión.

2. Aquella que proviene por exposición a impulsos electromagnéticos de las telecomunicaciones, especialmente del WIFI y la telefonía móvil, o por exposición “industrial”, como en el caso de los empleados de operadores de telefonía móvil con tareas continuas en las estaciones base de las torres de teléfono móvil.

La electrohipersensibilidad en la actualidad

Muchas organizaciones científicas claman que no existe el EHS usando el argumento de que las ondas no portan la energía suficiente como para afectar a las células, esto se basa en la óptica de que las ondas sólo afectan si producen efectos térmicos. Sin embargo, diversos estudios realizados directamente por docenas de laboratorios sobre el ADN, a nivel de efectos dermatológicos, a nivel del cerebro, del sistema nervioso y endocrino han probado que existen efectos atérmicos que inducen alteraciones en todos estos niveles fisiológicos.

Durante los últimos años hemos visto un aumento en los casos de EHS. De pronto se han multiplicado exponencialmente y cada vez los niveles de intensidad de sufrimiento y dolor son más altos. Parece que estamos llegando a un nivel de saturación de exposición electromagnética que ha provocado que incluso personas sin condiciones preexistentes de hipersensibilidad empiecen a desarrollar un grado de EHS.

Gobiernos como los de Francia, España y Suecia hoy consideran el EHS una discapacidad funcional que un porcentaje de la población vive cuando se encuentra sumado a una contaminación elevada de radiación electromagnética; como la que está presente en zonas urbanas, oficinas tecnológicas, hogares con exposiciones industriales cercanas (Radio bases de telefonía móvil, líneas de alta tensión, subestaciones eléctricas)

Electrohypersensitivity (EHS) is a highly controversial and poorly understood condition. Here we explain to you a little more about it.

Electrohypersensitivity (EHS), also known as electromagnetic sensitivity or electromagnetic hypersensitivity, is a syndrome in which an individual experiences physical discomfort as a result of wireless technologies, electrical devices, telecommunications towers, Wi-Fi, mobile phones, cordless phones, or magnetic fields caused by electricity lines.

Until recently, this condition was developed only in a small group of people exposed to electromagnetic radiation. Individuals suffering from it usually had a pre-existing genetic condition with tendencies to diverse hypersensitivity.

Although the World Health Organization (WHO) does not consider it a disease, there are currently dozens of associations in more than 20 countries that have dedicated themselves in the last decade to studying and helping people who claim to have EHS.

Understanding more about electrohypersensitivity

EHS is presented as an alarm in the body of those who suffer from it, a kind of painful warning that indicates the body is reaching its limit of tolerance to artificial electromagnetic fields (EMF emanating from man-made sources) at the cellular level. The explanation for this is that our cells exchange electrical and magnetic charges that pass through the cell membrane. So changes in microtubules, especially in calcium ion channels, lead to cellular electromagnetic hypersensitivity.

The EHS is then expressed as a conditioned reflection of radiation of this type that is in the environment and carries enough intensity to be able to produce electrical stress in the cells. The intensity of the radiation and the frequencies that most easily induce this cellular stress response varies in each person with an EHS degree.

Prof. Olle Johansson, a member of the dermatology department of the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, was one of the forerunners in the study of this strange EHS condition since 1980. According to his studies, this condition turns out to be like an “allergic” reaction to a hostile environment. That is, it is not a disease, but a condition of hypersensitivity to waves; for example, in Spanish programs and documentaries they call it the «Allergic to WIFI».

Symptoms associated with electrohypersensitivity

The symptoms presented by people suffering from this syndrome are very diverse and nonspecific, so its early detection or diagnosis is usually atypical and complicated. For example, one or more symptoms could arise or intensify when located near electrical appliances, transformers, and high-voltage lines, mobile phone antennas, Wi-Fi router, among other devices.

In our case studies and emission control projects, we have found that a percentage of people who claim to have EHS have a nocebo effect on radiation. That means they are individuals who suggest themselves negatively and express discomfort or pain just by seeing the presence of an electronic device. These people are not considered to have EHS, they are just terrified and influenced by all the information they see in the media.

We have also observed subjects with a condition of psychological paranoia; people who stay with electromagnetic field meters and who are continually “hunting” these waves. This is also not considered EHS.

A person with EHS is someone who experiences symptoms that in medicine have no known cause. These are people who even ignore the existence of electromagnetic waves or Electrosmog and yet, they are still affected.

From the various investigations that we have done, we have gathered 29 specific symptoms of this syndrome:

1. Fatigue (General Fatigue)

2. Sleep problems – Insomnia

3. Sleeping excessively

4. Irritability

5. Nervousness

6. Skin problems (rashes, itching, others)

7. Abnormal heart rhythm – Tachycardia (Arrhythmia)

8. Blood pressure problems

9. Irritable Colon

10. Hearing loss

11. Pain in the ears

12. Ringing in the ears

13. Noise in the ears

14. Bells in the ears

15. Pain in the eyebrows

16. Blurred Vision

17. Dizziness

18. Concentration problems

19. Memory problems (short term)

20. Headache

21. Redness on the face

22. Facial swelling

23. A sensation of heat on the face

24. Numb feeling in the head

25. A feeling of pressure in the head

26. A feeling of a tight band around the head

27. A sensation of pricks on the skin

28. A feeling of pressure in the chest

29. A feeling of lack of oxygen

What are the types of EMF exposure that induce electrohypersensitivity?

There are two types of artificial electromagnetic exposure that can cause this syndrome:

1. The one that comes from the electricity, usually by dirty power (many EMI interferences in the wiring) of the home or office, or by industrial exposure to high voltage fields.

2. The one that comes from exposure to electromagnetic impulses from telecommunications, especially from WIFI and mobile telephony, or from “industrial” exposure, as in the case of employees of mobile telephone operators with continuous tasks at the base stations of the mobile phone towers.

Electrohypersensitivity today

Many scientific organizations claim that EHS does not exist using the argument that waves do not carry enough energy to affect cells, this is based on the view that waves only affect if they produce thermal effects. However, various studies carried out directly by dozens of laboratories on DNA, at the level of dermatological effects, at the level of the brain, the nervous and endocrine systems have proven that there are athermic effects that induce alterations in all these physiological levels.

Over the past few years, we have seen an increase in EHS cases. Suddenly they have multiplied exponentially and each time the levels of intensity of suffering and pain are higher. It appears that we are reaching a saturation level of electromagnetic exposure that has caused even people without preexisting conditions of hypersensitivity to begin developing an EHS degree.

Governments like those of France, Spain, and Sweden today consider EHS as a functional disability that a percentage of the population lives when it is added to a high level of electromagnetic radiation contamination; such as the one that is present in urban areas, technology offices, homes with nearby industrial exposures (radio mobile phone bases, high-voltage lines, electrical substations)
